Behind the Blooms: S + I’s Timeless Summer Wedding

On July 19, 2025, we had the absolute pleasure of designing the florals for S + I’s beautiful summer wedding; a celebration filled with timeless elegance, soft romance, and plenty of fun.

From our very first consultation, we knew this couple was going to be wonderful to work with. We clicked almost immediately. S + I were kind, thoughtful, and genuinely enjoyable throughout the entire planning process, and their personalities seemed to perfectly reflect the wedding vision they had in mind: timeless, elegant, and fun.

Their floral palette was centered around classic whites, lush greenery, and soft blush tones. The result was romantic and refined while still feeling warm and personal - just like them.

For the wedding party, we designed four boutonnieres featuring ranunculus’, along with bouquets for the maid of honor, sister, and the mothers of the couple. Each piece was designed to complement the overall floral vision while still feeling unique and special to the person carrying or wearing it.

The bride’s bouquet was an all-white, classic garden-inspired design featuring spray roses, roses, calla lilies, and ranunculus. It was elegant, timeless, and effortlessly beautiful - one of those bouquets that feels just as special years later as it did on the wedding day.

We also created two large pedestal arrangements to frame the ceremony space. And, as any florist will tell you, sometimes the behind-the-scenes moments of wedding work are where the real stories happen.

While creating the pedestal arrangements, we were experimenting with a new construction method. When one arrangement decided it had other plans and came apart the morning of the wedding, we immediately went into florist mode. We reworked the design, secured everything, and made sure it was just as beautiful and ready for the couple's big day.

Then, on the way to the venue, the second arrangement began to shift during the 50-minute drive. Thanks to a little creative problem-solving - and one florist holding the arrangement together in the back of the vehicle for the entire ride- we arrived with everything safely in hand and were able to make the final adjustments once we reached the venue.

The lesson? Things can happen. Even with a ton of experience, weddings have a way of throwing the occasional surprise your way. The important thing is knowing how to adapt, solve the problem, and make sure the couple never has to worry about what is happening behind the scenes.

That is one of the many reasons you hire a professional florist. We are not just there to design beautiful flowers, we are there to make sure the flowers are beautiful no matter what it takes to get them there.

And the story of S + I’s flowers did not end on their wedding day.

As their one-year anniversary approached, S + I reached out with a very special request: They wanted to recreate the bridal bouquet.

We were so honored to bring a piece of their wedding day back to life. On July 19, 2026, exactly one year after their wedding, we recreated her bouquet and hand-delivered it to them nearly 50 minutes away. While we do not typically deliver smaller orders that far from home, S + I are truly special to us - and we could not resist being part of their anniversary surprise.

To make it even more personal, we hand-stitched their initials and wedding date into the ribbon wrapping the bouquet, creating a small, meaningful detail that would make the recreated bouquet uniquely theirs.

There is something incredibly special about being trusted with a couple's wedding flowers—and even more special when they invite you back into their story a year later.

S + I, thank you for being so wonderful to work with from the very beginning. We are so grateful to have been a small part of your wedding day and even more grateful that your flowers brought us back together for your first anniversary.
