There’s something undeniably special about a wedding by the water—the soft coastal light, the breeze rolling in from the sea, and the effortless beauty of an outdoor celebration. This June wedding at East Bay Grille was a perfect reflection of that feeling: simple, timeless, and incredibly elegant.

The bride came to Rosie’s just a short time before her wedding, during a particularly emotional season for her and her family. Despite the last-minute timing, we immediately clicked on her vision and worked together seamlessly to create something that felt beautiful, personal, and true to her style. I’m always grateful when a couple trusts me to step in and bring their ideas to life, but there was something especially meaningful about being able to make this part of her wedding planning feel easy and seamless.

Set beneath a classic white tent overlooking the water, the floral design was intentionally understated. The bride wanted something soft and romantic without feeling overly complicated, and baby’s breath became the perfect way to bring that vision to life. For the tables, we created fluffy, cloud-like arrangements of baby’s breath surrounding soft candlelight. The effect was dreamy and delicate, allowing the flowers to complement rather than compete with the beautiful seaside setting.

The sweetheart table was finished with a lush baby’s breath garland that flowed naturally across the table, paired with glowing candles. As the evening light shifted, the combination of the white blooms, warm candlelight, and waterfront backdrop created such a romantic atmosphere. It was one of those designs that felt effortless once everything came together, even though there was quite a bit of work happening behind the scenes.

And honestly, the baby’s breath clouds were one of the biggest challenges of the day. Because the arrangements were being created completely from scratch on-site, we had a limited setup window to transform loose stems into those full, fluffy floral clouds. It took a lot of hands-on work, quick thinking, and attention to detail to get everything finished within the allotted time, but seeing the tables come together made every minute worth it.

For the bridal bouquet, we kept things simple and elegant with soft white blooms, delicate texture, and touches of greenery. The bridesmaid bouquet followed the same effortless aesthetic, creating a cohesive look that felt classic without being overly formal. Every floral detail was designed to feel natural against the beauty of the venue and the sea beyond it.

Looking back, this wedding is such a beautiful reminder that sometimes the most memorable designs are the simplest ones. A white tent, the ocean as a backdrop, glowing candles, and clouds of baby’s breath were all it took to create an atmosphere that felt romantic, timeless, and completely personal to the couple.

I’m so grateful that Rosie’s was trusted to be a small part of such an important day, and even more grateful for the opportunity to take a last-minute vision and turn it into something the bride could truly see herself in. From the first conversation to the final stem placed on the sweetheart table, this was a wedding filled with softness, beauty, and a little bit of seaside magic, and one I’ll always be happy to look back on.
